Administration Professionals at Ohio Women’s Reformatory Choose Norix to Create a More Humanized Environment

The facility in Marysville, OH, in a recent renovation, was able to achieve a secure environment while promoting the rehabilitation of inmates.  In 2001, the facility opened up to accommodate the parental bonding of recently delivered babies of inmates.  The goal was to retain the mother-child bond and reduce recidivism.  In the time since the program has started, the program has received praise from justice professionals for its ability to help rehabilitate.

In 2019, the facility received a multi-million dollar makeover with the help of Norix furniture.  Bright colors and natural light are utilized to help create a more humanized atmosphere without compromising the safety of staff and inmates.  Hondo Nuevo (pictured below) is a popular seating option that is efficient in creating this balance of security and style.

In addition to common areas inside the Ohio Women’s Reformatory, Norix was able to help enhance their daycare areas with our expanded line of children’s furniture.  The Elle series table and chairs (pictured below) allow for a fun and safe place to play and learn.
